★本作は1979年スペイン、ブエノスアイレスでのコンサートの模様を収録したもの。ビル・エヴァンス・エステートの協力のもと発表された初の公式作品である。ビル・エヴァンス (p) 、マーク・ジョンソン (b) 、ジョー・ラバーベラ (ds) のトリオが1979年9月27日にアルゼンチンのブエノスアイレスのテアトロ・ジェネラル・サン・マルティンで行ったライヴオリジナルのコンサート・テープ・リール (放送音源) からリマスターされた。
★録音は1979年、翌年ビル・エヴァンスは他界したが、いわゆるラスト・トリオでの演奏である。収録曲は全13曲、死の予感などは一切感じさせない素晴らしく躍動感のある演奏が繰り広げられる。このアルバムの収録曲もエヴァンスが好んで演奏した曲が中心である。マーク・ジョンソンのベースソロやジョー・ラバーベラのドラムソロもたっぷりとフィーチャーされている。
★ブックレットには実際のコンサートからの貴重な写真やアメリカの作家 / ジャーナリスト、マーク・マイヤーズとアルゼンチンの作家クラウディオ・パリジによるエッセイ、さらに、オリジナルテープを保有していたカルロス・メレロ、マーク・ジョンソン、ジョー・ラバーベラ等の当時を振り返った最新のインタビューも等も収録されています。
