Excellent Fedora!There are NO moth bites! Shaped perfectly! Little yellowing on the liner but perfectly secure!The leather sweatband is completely secured to the hat and still soft and pliable. That beautiful grosgrain ribbon is perfect! No stains and secured to the hat.If you have any questions please write to us.Bound brim edge is also very clean!The only thing we see is that aged copper wire that goes around the leather sweatband has started to oxidize and you can see it’s started to bleed through to the beaver. It’s over 70 years old so it sometimes happens. This still has another 70 years though of great wear left in it!

This is a great 1950s Pilgrim Playboy Fedora， size 7. The that bound brim edge and that very fancy grosgrain ribbon! Dad recently sold a Stetson Playboy fedora that looked like a clone of this one. This just has the look of the Indiana Jones fedora but with extras! The wide bound brim edge， really makes this fedora really stand out! If your looking for a great high quality used fedora with character this is it! The best color is gray and the representation is the picture of the whole underside. If you have an opinion on the color please let us know. The grosgrain ribbon is black and gray， see picture 11. It’s extremely sharp looking!Now that material we described as a Beaver Fifteen. Dad had taken out his collection of early Stetsons to compare it to. We only took out the very high end ones because of the way it actually feels so the Fifteen， Twenty and the TwentyFive. This best matched the Fifteen except it’s more of a lightweight material， not as thick or heavy as the Stetson Twenty is. It’s easily shaped with just a bit of steam and will hold this shape until someone steams it out? Not sure why one one would do that because it looks perfect! The was no size tag and we didn’t see any undertag either. It looks like it has peeled away. But this measures to a perfect size 7 at 22 inches. Just to verify it’s size， We actually measure each hat 3 times to verify it’s true size and use the current Tilley hat size chart that’s still in use today by many hat manufacturers.
