アクセス頂きありがとうございます。今から55年前に、米国ゼニス社より発売された9トランジスタ携帯ラジオ「ゼニスロイヤル68」です。久々のトランジスタラジオのレストア品の出品です。ゼニス社ははラルフ・マシューズとカール・ハッセルによって 1918 年米国シカゴで誕生しました。社名のZenithは創設者のアマチュア無線コールサイン9ZN を短縮した ZN"th に由来しています。ゼニスはラジオの製造からテレビへ、時代の流れに乗り一世を風靡しましたが、1995年に韓国LGに買収され消滅してしまったブランドです。日本で言うとのシャープに近い歴史をもった会社です。Royalシリーズは1951年から発売され1975年まで続いたロングセラーモデルです。この製品の型番の数字２桁は発売された西暦を指し、Lは筐体カラーを表します。1960年代後半は家電の生産が米国内から国外へシフトしていった時代です。基板にはMade In Hongkongの刻印がありましたが、使われていたパーツは殆ど日本製なのにはちょっと驚きました。当時のカタログにはフルサイズ９トランジスタ携帯ラジオとの記載があります。フルサイズの意味がよくわかりませんが携帯型トランジスタラジオの割には意外と大きく、まさにアメリカンサイズです。発売当時の価格で＄24.95当時は360/＄の固定相場でしたので8，98232，000(日本銀行調査統計局調べ）という高級品でした。日本じゃ売れませんね。保管状態が良かったため製品は大変よい状態でしたが、長期利用に耐えるよう容量抜けの可能性のある電解コンデンサは全て交換し、再調整しましたので安心してお使いいただけます。ラジオ放送が続く限り、もう50年がんばってもらえそうです。寝室、書斎あるいはアウトドアで、50年前の「アメリカン・ドリーム・サウンド」を満喫してください。This is a Zenith Royal 68L， a 9-transistor portable radio released 52 years ago by Zenith Corporation of USA. It has been a long time since I have exhibited a restored transistor radio.The two digits of the model number of this Zenith product are inscribed with the year of the year.The late 1960s was a time when the production of consumer electronics was shifting from the U.S. to other countries. The PC board was marked "Made In Hongkong，" but I was a little surprised to see that most of the parts used were made in Japan. The catalog of the time describes it as a full-size 9-transistor portable radio. I don"t know what "full size" means， but it is surprisingly large for a portable transistor radio， and is truly American in size.The price at the time of its release was $24.95. At that time， the exchange rate was fixed at 360 yen/$， so the price was 8，982 yen， or about 32，000 yen in today"s terms (according to the Research and Statistics Bureau of the Bank of Japan). It would not sell in Japan.The product is in very good condition because it was stored in good condition.It worked well as it was， but all chemical capacitors that may have dried out were replaced and retuned to withstand long-term use， so you can use it with safe. As long as radio broadcasting continues， it is likely to work for another 50 years.Please enjoy the American dream sound of 50 years ago in your bedroom， study， or outdoors?落札される方の為に出来るだけ詳しい説明を致しますDetailed Description for bidder① 本製品は米国ゼニス社製９石トランジスタラジオ「ロイヤル68L」です。トランジスタ９石を使ったスーパーヘテロダイン方式のAMラジオです。フェライト・バーアンテナが内蔵されているので外部アンテナが無くても良好に受信します。No External antenna is required for AM radio reception， since ferrite bar antenna is embedded. ② 写真に写っているものが商品となります。写真を良くご確認下さい。試験用の単二電池6本はおまけでお付けします。発売当時のカタログの写しをご希望の方はメッセージ欄にてご連絡下さい。Please review picture precisely. Qty 6 of C battery used for test is added bonus.③ 本体寸法(Dimension)は206mm (幅W)ｘ165mm (高H) 86mm (奥D)で重量（Weight）は1300gのアメリカンサイズです。④ 中古品ですが保管状態が良かったため全体的に良好な状態です。経年劣化による細かい傷や変形等はご理解お願いします。ハウジングは研磨をかけ、ぴかぴか・つるつるに仕上げています。Housing is good condition with no remarkable damage. No missing parts however small scratch or deform exists due to vintage. Housing is shiny polished. ⑤ スピーカはGE社製のAlnico5です。口径9ｃｍ１Wのマグネチックスピーカからは高音質なサウンドが出力されます。9cm diameter 1W GE Alnico5 Speakers is used which makes very good sound．

⑥ MW(中波530～1605kHz)バンドの放送を良好に受信可能することが出来ます。受信回路はSGにて調整済みです。在京キー局は全て受信確認が取れています。Reception is available at Middle wave band. Receiving circuit is t retuned. Reception of Key radio stations in Tokyo is confirmed.

⑦ 商用電源AC100Vは使えません。電池は単二乾電池（6本）を使用し9Vで動作します。乾電池ケースは内部の腐食を除去し、電極を研磨しました。No Commercial AC power is used. Use Quantity 6 of C cell dry battery for 9V power supply. Original battery and battery case was badly damaged. Corrosion is removed and polished. Battery used for test is added bonus.⑧ 劣化の可能性のある全ての電解コンデンサは現在入手可能な同等規格の新品部品と交換済みです。交換済み旧部品の写真をご確認ください。All chemical capacitors， which is possible to be degrade， are replaced with new parts with the same spec. Please refer picture of old parts after rework.

⑨ 3.5mmφイヤホン（モノラル）の接続も可能です。3.5mm Earpiece prepared by bidder is connectable.
