For sale is a pair of New Without Box Rare Alden X Brooks Brothers 24947 Natural Chromexcel CXL Leather Tassel Loafers Dress Shoes Men's 11 D. From Alden Model Project: "Alden 24947 Natural Chromexcel Tassel Loafer Additional Model Details: Aberdeen Last (true to size but long) Single Leather Outsole 270 Flat Welt" For your consideration is an exceptionally rare pair of vintage Moc Toe Tassel Loafers from the Famed American Shoemaker， Alden. This pair was made in/for collaboration with storied American Haberdasher， Brooks Brothers. They feature luxurious Chromexcel Leather， in it's seldom-seen natural shade. For more info on the history of Horween's famed Chromexcel Leather， specifically the natural version， read here: (https://www.stitchdown.com/leather/how-horween-natural-chromexcel-ages/) The style code on this pair is 24947， and aside from the natural Chromexcel， they appear otherwise identical to other Alden Tassel Loafers. For information (especially on build quality)， here is Alden's listing description for the 660 Tassel Loafer: "DETAILS Tassel Moccasin Black Calfskin Leather Full glove leather lined Pure vegetable tanned leather insoles 270 Degree Goodyear Welt Aberdeen Last Alden Tassel Moccasin. The original tassel moccasin. Often copied...never equaled. Available here in Black Calfskin Leather. Select calfskin uppers， dovetailed heels， full glove leather lined flexible pure vegetable tanned leather insoles. Unsurpassed for breathable comfort and long wear， it assumes over time the contours of your foot shape giving a truly custom quality to the fit. Beneath the insole is a layer of cork， providing additional resilience and insulation. Every Alden New England shoe carries a tempered steel shank， precisely contoured and triple ribbed for extra strength. Truly the backbone of a fine welt shoe or boot， the shank provides the proper support and shape required to give comfort throughout the day. Oak tanned leather bends are cut into outsoles at factory for maximum control of quality， crafted not only with good looks， but with the integrity of fine shoemaking， a special addition to your wardrobe." For reference， here are the approximate measurements (taken along the outsole): Length - just under 12.5" Width (at the ball of foot) - 4.375" I did not condition/polish these shoes， as they are Brand New (NOS/Deadstock)， and still have their original factory finish. I listed them as "New With Defects " as they have some minor instances of scuffing， sole scratches， and miscellaneous marks from storage.
